Moshe's Voice
A Therapist Reflects on Intergenerational Trauma, Silence, and Inherited Stories
I wrote this piece after discovering and sitting with the Holocaust survivor testimony of Moshe, a distant cousin. As both a relative and a psychotherapist, it stirred reflections on Jewish identity, loss and survival, how family trauma reverberates even when details go unspoken, and how familiar patterns of dehumanization are reemerging, often with similar justifications, in spaces that pride themselves on social justice, moral correctness, or healing.
Deep gratitude to Psychotherapy Networker for publishing this piece and allowing the space for my reflections.
